Lead, Value Added (7am to 3pm)
Description
SUMMARY: To coordinate workers in Project/Value Add Area and to meet accuracy standards and deadlines for all customer orders and internal projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Distributes daily work assignments in accordance with procedures established by Picking Supervisor;
- Monitors productivity of workers and documents any system or personnel problems;
- Keeps supervisor informed of: any projected delays, staff movement to other departments, and job assignments;
- Trains new employees;
- Assists supervisor with annual performance reviews;
- Sets up and maintains all projects from start to finish, while maintaining accuracy and meeting all shipping and internal deadlines
- Assists with work backlogs as needed;
- Assists with cost analysis on projects;
- Back-up for Picking and Replenishment Leads during vacation times;
- Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to create and maintain excel and word reports;
- Ability to operate a counterbalance;
- Ability to lift 50 pounds;
- Excellent communication, problem documentation, delegation, team leadership skills;
- Ability to master warehouse WMS system and Bartender Program;
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency helpful.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent to or at least a high school diploma and minimum 2 yrs. warehouse Lead experience preferred.
